DIVISION Two whipping boys Hogans Athletic restricted hosts Horwich Town to nine goals but at least Nathan Cuncliffe got his name on the scoresheet for the Leigh’s habitual losers.

Mitch Davenport, Wayne Fidler, Stuart Caruthers (two) and Matt Atkinson were all on target for Town.

Flying Shuttle beat Butchers Arms 2-1 with the deadly duo of Josh Airey and Kieron Marsh netting, while 10-man Johnson Fold put eight past Breightmet FC with Andy Knowles and Craig Sloane claiming three each while Jordon Hacking, Chris Armice, Mark Tulleya and Chris Donahgue scored for Breightmet.

Leaders Great Lever Queen Lizzy beat FC Newbury 6-0 with Arron McCarthy grabbing four goals while Lee Walker and old hand Shaun Kinsella were also on the scoresheet.

In the Premier Division, Farnworth CC beat FC Bolton 12-2. Arron Monks and Mattie Carter both got hat-tricks with a brace for Clint McLoughlin, and one each for Curtis Armice and Thomas and Mattie Brook.

Hulton Lane went down 4-3 at home to Cattlemarket Wanderers. For the Lane, there was a goal each for Gaz Cunliffe, Tony Halligan and Dean Walmsley while Lee Bowyer, Shaun Rothwell, Gaz Gemill and John Charmers replied for Wanderers.

The top two in Division One both dropped points. Darcy Lever lost 4-3 to Morris Dancers for whom Dean Lloyd, Stu Schofield and Dave Bretherbrow (two) scored. For Darcy, Keith Tottington and Jack Rigby scored and there was an own goal from Darren Winnard.

Castle were held to a 2-2 draw by Moses Gate. Issac Flynn and Tyrone Taylor both scored for Castle. Newbury beat Farnworth 4-3 thanks to goals from Sam Bradley, John Miller, Josh Richardson and Ash Haslam. Ant Alderson, Ash Jones and Dale Horrocks notched for Farnwoth.

Rumworth Hall Great Lever beat Brindley Arms 7-2. For the winners, Sam James grabbed a brace, while there was a goal each for Dave Hall, Mike Hall, Liam Johnson, Danny Corrigan and Mark Canstella. For Brindley, Mark Statham and Dillon Ross both scored.
