AINSWORTH A took the Division Two Cup with an excellent 3-1 victory over Garswood United at Eagley Sports Club.
Ainsworth started the brighter and Ian Bentley gave them an early lead before he produced a fine run to lay on the second for Mark Lindsay.
That sparked Garswood into action and they started playing some attractive football. They were rewarded when John Deakin pulled a goal back just before half time.

In the second half, it was all Ainsworth and the pressure told as Ian Bentley scored his second of the game to secure a 3-1 win for Ainsworth. Bennett and Holland had outstanding games for Ainsworth, but Bentley's fantastic play and two goals secured the man-of- the-match award.
In the league, Peake Fitness secured the Division One league title with a convincing 2-0 win over local rivals Daten AFC. Needing only a point to lift the title, goals from Ashton and Keegan guaranteed the win.
Eagley Sweet Green secured the runners-up spot after a convincing 7-0 win over a depleted Bay Mare Strollers who at one point were reduced to nine men through injuries. Phil Hutchinson scored five, but it's the ones he missed that will be remembered longest.
In Division Two, The Brooklyn Choices saved one of their best displays for last as they beat Pennington FC 4-2 to finish third in the league.
Two goals from Lee Holden and one each from Dave Clayton and Darren Cooper secured the win while Mark Pattterson's two for Pennington were just consolations.
In the Third Division, Real Victoria moved back to the top after a 5-2 win over Seedfield Sports Vets, but Salford Waggon are just a point behind with three games in hand and are overwhelming favourites to make it a league and cup double this year.
Breightmet United moved up two places to seventh spot after a good 4-2 win over Ainsworth B
In the Sam Ashworth Trophy, Stoneclough FC beat the Salford Waggon 2-1 to move into the semi-final where they meet Peake Fitness for a place in the final. Trevor Ball grabbed the extra time winner for Stoneclough.
