BARNSLEY boss Danny Wilson heads to the Reebok Stadium today confident his side can bounce back from their narrow midweek defeat to high-flying Burnley.

Wilson’s team have picked up seven points from the last 12 available as they bid to stay in the Championship.

And he believes the Tykes can get a result against an in-form Wanderers after the hosts’ indifferent home form this season.

But he knows it will not be easy against a team he says is packed full of quality and goes into the game off the back of successive away wins.

Wilson said: “Bolton being virtually safe after their win at Doncaster was a big bonus for them.

“I’m sure they’ll want to finish on a high and finish as high as they possibly can. There’ll be a freedom in their play which can be dangerous.

“Going to the Reebok on Saturday, they’ve had some indifferent results – similar to our results. But we go there full of confidence.

“The expectation levels are sky high, they’ve still got a lot of players there earning Premiership money.

“To not be challenging in a top six is a blow to them.

“They’ll try their level best to finish as high as they can but that’s not my concern. My concern is to get three points.”

Despite Barnsley’s struggles, Wilson says the mood in his squad is optimistic.

And after losing narrowly to Wanderers in the reverse fixture on Boxing Day, he believes they can head back across the Pennines tonight with a positive result.

He added: “The dressing room’s been fine because we’ve got a hell of a lot to play for.

“The one thing we can’t allow to happen is let our heads go down. We have to make sure the belief is there like it was before.

“There’s still 18 points to play for. If you relax now thinking it’s all over, you can come to regret it.”
