TURTON will play Hindsford and CMB and Stoneclough will clash in the semi-finals of the Bolton Hospital Cup.

Stoneclough earned their place in the last four when they won the last quarter-final 3-1 against Old Boltonians on Thursday night.

West Lancashire League Division Two outfit Stoneclough got a flying start with what is believed to bethe fastest goal ever scored in the competition after only 13 seconds.

Callum Hughes picked up the ball on the left and beat his marker before drilling his shot past the advancing keeper.

Hughes doubled his tally on 28 minutes with another fine shot, but Stoneclough were reduced to 10 men two minutes later when Kieron Torkington was sent off for an off the ball incident.

Dogged defending by Stoneclough saw them hold out until the 81st minute when the Lancashire Amateur League Premier Division leaders halved the deficit with a well taken free kick.

Old bolts pushed forward in search on an equaliser and were caught on the break in the 89th minute when Callum Yearsley latched on to a through ball, drew the keeper and scored with an angled lob.

Stoneclough v CMB will take place at Atherton LR on Wednesday, April 23, at 7.30pm, with Hindsford v Turton at Atherton Colls on Monday, April 28, at 7.30pm.
