Southport 4 Leigh RMI 0

United Cooperative Challenge Cup semi-finalLEIGH RMI's dreams of a cup final place were dashed by a rampant Southport side.

The game hinged on a controversial sending-off, which saw RMI midfielder Robin Gibson shown the red card for a tackle on 25 minutes.

RMI were always up against it from this point, but they did hold their own until 55 minutes.

Kevin Lee put the home side into the lead, before further goals from Mark Houghton, Tony Gray and Tom Parry sealed the victory and secured Southport a final date with Chorley.
