Miller bags hat-trick as U15s edge thriller

BOLTON Under-15s maintained their impressive form in the Greater Manchester Schools’ League with a thrilling 4-3 victory against Salford at Broughton.
George Miller (St James) scored twice in the first 15 minutes to put the Bolton boys in the driving seat but the home side pulled on back to make it 2-1 at half time and caught the visitors napping just after the interval when they equalised.
Miller completed his hat-trick to put Bolton back in front – a lead they retained when Callum Chorlton (Mount St Joseph’s) saved a penalty.
Ryan Farnworth (Turton) made it 4-2 before Salford scored their third five five minutes from time to set up a tense finale.
Bolton U14s were held to a 2-2 draw by Salford in their Greater Manchester Schools League clash.
Alex Culston (Canon Slade) twice gave Bolton the lead but each time Salford responded well – their second equaliser coming right at the end.
