Early-season pacesetters in the North West Counties Division One, Daisy Hill, came down to earth with a bump, beaten 4-1 at Holker Old Boys.
The home side took an 11th minute lead through Nathan Reid before Andrew Buckley squared matters in the 22nd minute.
Reid and team-mate Brad Hubbold struck again with two goals in a minute just before half time and Jamie Pattinson added the fourth three minutes after the restart.
Meanwhile, Atherton Collieries were held 2-2 by Hanley Town at Alder House.
The Colls went into a two-goal lead through strikes by Paul Prescott on nine minutes and Gareth Peet four minutes before the break.
Hanley’s Michael Morton, however, pulled one back before the interval and Joel Stair levelled four minutes into the second half.
Atherton LR almost pulled off a spectacular late comeback after trailing 2-0 with 11 minutes to go at Chadderton, but eventually lost 3-2.
Matthew Russell opened the scoring for the hosts on 19 minutes and added a 34th-minute penalty.
Gino Pulvino pulled one back for LR on 79 minutes, but Clive Best made it 3-1 for the home side with three minutes to go.
Vinny Mukendj set the stoppage-time nerves jangling for Chadderton with a strike in the 90th minute.
