TWO Michael Rice goals and one from Mark Truffas maintained Queen Anne’s 100 per cent winning record in Group A of the Champions League with a 3-1 victory at Newbury.

Martin Brown scored a hat-trick and Arron Munks got the other in Farnworth’s 4-2 win at Hulton Wanderers.

In Group B John Harvey scored four as leaders D Havilland made it four wins out of four with an 8-2 home win against Mosesgate.

Josh Orrell, Kieron Marsh, Bob Tatie and Andrew Hamilton got the others for the winners with Dave Booth and Mark Barrett replying for Mosesgate.

Groups C and D are tight, with second-placed Queen Lizzy inflicting a first defeat in four on C leaders Deane.

Stuart Bassnet, Ady Nugent and Austyn Mort scored for Lizzy with Gareth Cunniff on target for Deane.

It was a similar story in Group D with the leaders, Astley Bridge Elite, having their 100 per cent winning record erased in a 4-1 defeat at Westhoughton.

Ste Haydock, Declan Horrocks, Lewis Sandford and an own goal clinched Westhoughton’s first win.

Brindley made it two wins and one defeat in their three games when Lewis Porter scored the only goal of the game at bottom club Astley Bridge.
