Skelmersdale United 1 Radcliffe Borough 2
UniBond Division One North STRUGGLING Radcliffe Borough moved further away from the drop after coming from behind to beat title-chasing Skelmersdale.
Peter Coyne's men got off to the worst possible start when John Turner put the home side ahead on four minutes.
It took until the 64th minute for goal machine Steve Howson to drag Boro back into it with his 35th goal of the season.
And, Boro sealed the victory in the last minute of the game when Andy Waine headed home from Howson's cross.
"We played very well after a sloppy start," said director of football Coyne. "This group of players have got a lot of character and, in the end, I thought we deserved our win against a good side who will definitely be in the play-offs.
"We are building up a good squad which, hopefully, we can keep together.
"If we can add the players we are currently looking at, I am sure we will have a better time in the league next season."
