Shakers forward Marshall back at Grimsby after Luton move falls through

BURY winger Marcus Marshall has today rejoined Blue Square Bet Premier leaders Grimsby Town on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 23-year-old originally joined the Mariners earlier in the campaign on a season-long loan but was recalled by the Shakers this week amid reports of a permanent bid from Luton Town.
But that move didn't go through and the young forward has now headed back to Blundell Park ahead of Grimsby's weekend match at Cambridge United.

Eileenshakers says...
We couldn't sell Marshy anymore than we could sell Shaun Harrad.
Once a season long loan has been agreed it's not up to the club to then recall/sell him.
He's free to join any club at the end of the season.
It's a pity we couldn't obtain a fee for the lad but let's be grateful "IT'S GOODBYE TO AN AVERAGE PLAYER.
Now please release Efe Sodge,David Useless Healy,Andy hasn't got a prayer of Scoring Bishop.
