BURY boss David Flitcroft has not ruled out more departures as he bids to trim down his squad further.

The Shakers manager released five players last week, including former captain Gareth Roberts and first-team striker Shaun Harrad.

But with a squad of 22 players remaining and with Flitcroft hopeful of bringing in a few more experienced recruits, it looks like time could be running out for summer signings Nathan Cameron and William Edjenguele.

“I want to go on record and thank the players that have played for the football club,” said the Bury boss.

“But we are trying to move on at a good rate and we will keep looking at rebalancing this squad, as it does need more trimming.”

Flitcroft wants to end January with a squad of 20 players, but hopes to replace quantity with quality.

“It’s taken a magnificent effort, but it was needed,” he said. “How can you have sometimes 20 players not involved on a Saturday? It’s not heard of in League Two.

“But to be successful you need to make sure that your bench is full of quality as well and it’s my duty as the manager to make sure I fill the squad with as much quality as I can.”

What is scary here is how out of touch KB was with regards to footballing knowledge. When Mr. Day took over and invested, it was like KB thought it was his own piggy bank to bring in as many players as possible without regards to quality. Thank God Mr. Day and the board booted him out and then brought in a REAL manager who knows what he is doing.

Success breads success and I have no doubt that is our future. The foundation of the revolution is being poured and cured, then comes the construction followed by the finished article.

I am hoping for 4 points from the next two away games, but heck we may bag 6.

What's with the latest news that the players are now training using Bolton Wanderers facilities?.
Was i right in assuming that in a previous promise/statement that the club had been granted the use of training facilities in Stockport.

Well we will all have to watch that video again where Kevin Blackwell made such a promise during that fans forum (chairman was present at the meeting).

Not sure if these facilities were only promised for a fixed time during the autumn however.

Of course the Chairman will be able to clarify this once he has earmarked a nice plot of land for the group to train on.

Don't count on the drainage work during next summer fixing the pitch issues, just look at Rodney Park in Newport, they have lost more home games than us this season.

I think with a few additions like a new striker to offer competition to Nards and Le Forrest we might be able to push for a mid table finish.

I would like to see Flits attempt to bring in Stephen Dawson from Barnsley he was a good captain and scored a few goals similar to Schuey.

It's back after spending the Christmas & New year down at the bottom of a toilet probably in the visitors dressing room at Spotland.
Like all smells it needs a freshening up so it manifests itself on here.

Listen here little man you have nothing to say but all that you say is repetition, even listening to WESTMINISTER'S PM QUESTIONS non stop for 24 hours would be more interesting than your irrelevant comments on here.
