DAVID Flitcroft may have taken his summer transfer spree to 10 players after the arrival of Danny Rose, but the Bury boss says that one of his own – Nathan Cameron – is the “find of the season”.
The 22-year-old defender has been in impressive form since breaking into the starting line-up in the last three games.
“He is a revelation,” said Flitcroft of the centre-back, who struggled to find his feet in his first season at the club after moving from Coventry last summer.
“Nathan has dug in and he’s fought. He has had opportunities to leave a couple of times and he’s not taken them.
“He’s just slowly calmed down and become a learner. You can see his focus and concentration, as well as his fitness levels, but the one thing that has impressed me has been his ball retention.
“There is a calmness about him. I think it has helped playing alongside such a top professional in Pabs (Pablo Mills).
“The last three games he has been an outstanding performer. He has been the find of the season.”
