BURY have bolstered their ranks with a fifth signing of the summer after securing the services of utility man Danny Pugh on a 12-month deal following his release from Coventry City.
The 32-year-old has played in midfield and at left-back during his career, which started at Manchester United and included spells at Leeds, Stoke and Preston.
After a handful of games for the Red Devils, Pugh moved to Leeds from Old Trafford in a swap deal in 2002 that saw Alan Smith move in the opposite direction.
He joined Preston for £250,000 in 2006 before being signed by Tony Pulis for Stoke for £500,000 in January, 2008, helping them achieve promotion to the Premier League.
The experienced campaigner returned to Deepdale in 2010 and Elland Road in 2011 on loan before securing permanent move back to Leeds in January, 2012.
Pughm who joined Coventry at the start of last season, has 298 games under his belt in all competitions, although he made just five appearances for the Sky Blues in League One last season.
