IT looks like Bury have signed another new goalkeeper after Stoke stopper Daniel Bachmann took to social media to announce his arrival at the club.

A message sent out from the 21-year-old Austrian’s Twitter page said he was looking forward to the first game of a one-month stay at Gigg Lane.

“Happy to have joined @buryfcofficial on loan for a month,” the tweet read. “Looking forward to the first game vs Blackpool on Saturday.”

Bachmann signed for Stoke in July 2013 but is yet to make his first appearance for the Premier League side.

He made 15 appearances on loan at Wrexham last season and played twice for Scottish Premiership side Ross County in August.

Bury have not yet officially announced the Stoke player’s signing, but if it is confirmed it will cast doubt on the future of Aaron McCarey’s loan deal at the League One club.

McCarey, aged 23, signed on Saturday from Wolves, also on a month’s loan, and made his debut in the 2-0 defeat at Shrewsbury.

He replaced first-team stopper Rob Lainton in the starting line-up after he was ruled out for up to eight weeks with a groin tear.
