THERE is no fear in the Bury camp ahead of a trip to league-leaders Burton on Saturday, claims Shakers boss David Flitcroft.

Bury have picked up only four points from a possible 39 on the road and travel to the Pirelli Stadium knowing their hosts have suffered just two defeats on home soil all season.

The Shakers mustered a draw against Blackpool during their last away outing, and Flitcroft is hoping to see more of the same against the Brewers.

“We don't fear going anywhere,” Flitcroft said. “We have had a couple of lessons this season but they have regrouped really well.

“We know where we are at as a football team.

“It's another tough game. We will go there with a game plan and we will try to execute the game plan.

“I was happy with some parts of the Blackpool performance away from home and we have got to give that performance again.”

The Bury boss says the only difference between those at the top of the league and the remaining pack is the clinical finishing in the final third.

And Flitcroft is calling for his defence to come up trumps against a side he believes are under pressure at the summit of the league table.

“When I'm really analysing League One, it's just being ruthless in both boxes,” Flitcroft added.

“There is not a lot in the games but we have got to get better at individual defending.

“They have got a different pressure. I watched them against Oldham, they have got a different pressure to us.

“They have had an unbelievable season, they have been fantastic all season. We have got an opportunity to go there and give a good account of ourselves.”

The Shakers could be boosted by the return of Craig Jones, who was in fine form before suffering concussion following a knock to the head at Blackpool.

Kelvin Etuhu may also be back in contention after hobbling off during the 6-0 thrashing at Coventry over two months ago.

But Andrew Tutte has been ruled out for up to four weeks with a hamstring injury and star winger Danny Mayor could miss out with a similar injury after withdrawing from the defeat to Gillingham in midweek.

“It's a potential hamstring,” Flitcroft said of Mayor's injury. “Danny knows himself now, he came off as a precautionary. I don't feel it's a tear.

“You sort of know the incident when he was saying it was getting stiffer as he stayed on the game.

“Usually when it's a hamstring tear you feel it on that impact moment and he didn't so fingers crossed and he'll be ok.

“We had a little bit of a bonus with Jonah. He doesn't need the two week concussion situation. He had a brain scan and that came back very positive.

“We'll see how he does in training Thursday, Friday, so we could have Jonah back quicker than we anticipated which is good news.

“Kelvin might come into the reckoning at the weekend.”
