WOLVERHAMPTON Wanderers Under-23s left-back Sylvain Deslandes has signed for Bury on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old French defender will provide competition for Greg Leigh, whose performances on the left of the Bury defence have come under close scrutiny in recent weeks.

Deslandes, who represented France at u18s level, has no first-team experience at Wolves but has made three appearances for the U23s in the Checkatrade Trophy this season.

He is the second loan signing of transfer deadline day at Bury, following Sunderland U23s centre-back Tom Beadling.

Head coach Chris Brass has also signed defenders Taylor Moore and Cameron Burgess, and goalkeeper Joe Murphy on loan during the course of the transfer window.

Earlier on transfer deadline day, Bury sold experienced midfielder Tom Soares and 17-year-old defender Jacob Bedeau and allowed midfielder Neil Danns to join Blackpool on loan until the end of the season.
