BURY’s fate is back in their own hands after relegation rivals Charlton, Port Vale and Shrewsbury all suffered defeats this week.

Unless a footballing miracle happens, it looks all-but certain bottom two Coventry and Chesterfield will be playing League Two football next year.

That leaves seven clubs, separated by five points, fighting it out to avoid the remaining two relegation spots.

Here we look at the remaining fixtures for all sides battling against relegation.

Bury (17th, 46 points): Bradford (h), Rochdale (h), Bolton (a), Northampton (h), Southend (a).

On paper, the Shakers look to have the toughest run in. Matches against play-off chasing Bradford and Southend, mixed with derbies against Rochdale and Bolton, will not be easy. Northampton at Gigg Lane looks like a must win, but if Lee Clark's men can pick up a point or two in one of their other two home games then they will be lucky not to secure survival.

Swindon (22nd, 42 points): MK Dons (h), AFC Wimbledon (h), Walsall (a), Scunthorpe (h), Charlton (a).

Back-to-back wins have lifted the Robins to within three points of safety. Luke Williams’ side also have a favourable run-in, having to face only one side in the top 10.

Shrewsbury (21st, 43 points): Rochdale (h), Walsall (h), Northampton (a), Southend (h), Oxford (a).

No League One side is in worse form than the Shrews. With four straight losses and two points from safety it will feel a long way back for the Greenhous Meadow faithful.

Port Vale (40th, 45 points): Chesterfield (a), Sheffield United (h), Oxford (a), Bolton (h), Walsall (a), Fleetwood (a).

Vale have begun to pick up a few points of late but do they have enough steam to handle their six games in 23 days? It will be a close one.

Gillingham (19th, 45 points): Millwall (h), Bristol Rovers (h), Charlton (a), Fleetwood (h), Northampton (a).

The Gills were six points clear when they beat Bury 2-1 at Gigg Lane a month ago but four straight defeats have seen them slip to 19th – two points above the drop zone. With a mixed bag of fixtures to come, the trap door remains wide open.

Oldham (18th, 45 points): Fleetwood (h), Bolton (h), Bristol Rovers (a), Rochdale (h), AFC Wimbledon (a).

Like Bury, Oldham have hit decent form, with only one loss in their last five matches. Four tricky matches could cause a few hiccups, which may take it to the final day of the season at Wimbledon.

Charlton (16th, 47 points): Southend (h), Coventry (a), Gillingham (h), Chesterfield (a), Swindon (h).

Leading the pack as it stands and with a far superior goal difference, you would expect the Addicks to see it out from here.
