IN view of Bury chairman Stewart Day’s recent pledge to lead the club into a new stadium by the 2019/20 season, we thought it might be timely to take a look back at the last major landmark in the current ground’s history.
The men of vision back in June 1992 were, from left, chairman Terry Robinson, manager Mike Walsh and commercial manager Neville Neville.
They are pictured surveying the scene 25 years ago as the main stand at Gigg Lane is ripped apart.
The second picture is a shot from the start of the 1992/93 season, which kicked off with diggers still looming large at the side of the pitch.
I wonder if you can spot which Bury game from that campaign is getting under way.
