SHAKERS manager Alan Knill has bolstered his misfiring strikeforce with the loan signing of Oldham Athletic forward Keigan Parker on a month’s loan.
With Ryan Lowe suspended for the next three games and Danny Carlton still recovering from an Achilles injury, 27-year-old Scottish star Parker brings much needed cover for a team that has not scored from open play in more than seven matches.
“Keigan brings us pace at the top end of the pitch,” said Knill. “He works the channels well and has got plenty of talent.
“He has been in promotion-chasing teams before - when he was at Blackpool - so he has been in our situation and knows what it is all about.
“His career has taken a dip recently so he has got the opportunity to get back to the level he wants to play at.
“It’s important to freshen up the squad and I am still looking to bring another body in to boost us further.”
Parker goes straight into the squad to play Rotherham on Saturday.
