9:33pm

90 - GOAL - Bury 1 CARLISLE 1 - Joe Garner

9:28pm

9:28pm

85 - Craig Jones on for Poleon

9:22pm

79 – Carlisle sub - Andy Welsh on for Matty Robson

9:17pm

73 – Schumacher stings the finger-tips of the Carlisle keeper with a rasping 35-yard drive.

9:15pm

71 – Carlisle sub – Mark Beck on for Liam Noble

9:03pm

57 – Carlisle sub - Symington on for Higginbotham.
58 – Joe Garner has Carlisle first real effort on target deflected wide.
60 – Hopper has Gillespie back-peddling as his looping deflected shot spirals narrowly wide.

9:00pm

57 – Sub Symington on for Higginbotham.

8:53pm

49 – David Worrall has the first shot of the second half, putting his effort from the edge of the box well over after struggling to get the ball out from under his feet.

8:49pm

K/O: The second half is under way at Gigg Lane with no changes to either side...

8:32pm

H/T: Bury 1 Carlisle 0

8:27pm

39 – Tom Hopper  times his run to the near post but his marker just manages to get a toe to the ball after Andy Bishop played him in with a low driven cross from the right.
40 – Mark Hughes guides his header from the resulting corner wide.

8:22pm

36 - GOAL - BURY 1 Carlisle 0 - New boy Zac Thompson rifles in a low right foot shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

8:09pm

23 – Poleon strikes a crisp volley just wide at the back post.

8:07pm

21 - Poleon drags a shot wide after good work from Bishop to tee him up.

8:05pm

18 – David Worrall attempts a ridiculous effort on goal from midway in his own half after being set free from a Carlisle corner.  Kevin Blackwell wants his players to take more shots but may not be too impressed with that attempt as Bury had two men in the break.

7:55pm

9 – Poleon just fails to thread a ball through into the feet of Steven Schumacher after the captain cascaded forward into the box.

7:52pm

6 – Matt Doherty storms forward to force the first corner of the match, which is cleared by Carlisle after a bit of scramble. Bury have started the brightest.

7:50pm

It looks like new loan signing Dominic Poleon has slotted in on the left of a four man midfield, which includes his Leeds team-mate Zac Thompson in centre midfield.

Tom Hopper is continuing his partnership with Andy Bishop up front after the pair scored a goal each in Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Crawley.

7:45pm

K/O: Bury get the match underway at Gigg Lane...

7:12pm

When it's not going, it's just not going. I actually thought we played pretty well last night, but we just couldn't muster that all important 2nd goal. We really do have to put teams like this to bed though, as they probably won't come much easier than Carlisle.
Hopper was my MOM, but should have come off with 10/15 to go, as he looked absolutely shattered......this has no baring on the missed 1 on 1 chance he had at the end. Apart from his goal, i didn't really think Thompson did a right lot else.....probably on a par with Captain Hapless who was his usual hopeless self. Lockwood seemed to do nothing but give fouls away but i actually thought Hughes did ok. Worrall, Bish and Peleon worked hard throughout and Skarz and Doherty were solid enough.
Overall, i thought our work rate was very good....we looked alot fitter than them (which was suprisingly pleasing), but Blackwell did need to send a couple of subs on to give us fresh legs towards the end......if only to slow the play down.

Ah well, there's always next week!

Although this was yet another bitter pill to swallow we can at least congratulate the team on their work ethic.I agree that Carlisle United were there for the taking. If a team has just lost 4-0 at home their confidence is going to be shot. However we must also remember that they had won their previous 3 away games so a point against our bogey team is still a good point.
Personally i think Kevin is clutching at straws when he thinks we can avoid the drop.I can't remember another team being 6 points adrift after a quarter of the season and staying up apart from say Wigan or Chester City some years back. The new players will take time to gell but we need them to hit the ground running. What worries me is that if these loanees are suffering from a crisis of confidence in front of goal what are they doing playing for us?.If we can get Ryan Lowe on loan he will galvanise our team.He might even get his best mate Schuey playing again.I think a win will come and i will be as bold as to predict this saturday against Yeovil. If we don't beat Pools next tuesday then it's goodnight Vienna but being an optimist i think we will pull both victories off.

Eileen, Eileen... "ye of little faith" :).
I am thrilled with Kev's efforts, we will get out of this mess with his new approach, smart loan moves and positive training!! We will beat Yeovil, Hartlepool and we will be on our way!!
Very unlucky against "Barking dog"and Carlisle.
Think back to the horrible match against MK Dons! We have come a long way in a short time thanks to Kevin.
Ryan Lowe-- don't think this will happen.

It's "OH YEE OF LITTLE FAITH" old boy.Yes Kev is heading in the right direction with his new tactics, fitness regime and changing attitudes with the players. It's a long haul but yes we still have 34 games to play with 102 up for grabs. We might have had 31 points by Christmas last year at the halfway stage and that seems a long way off. This league is not as difficult as last season but with fewer massive clubs taking points off all and sundrie. The likes of Shrewsbury & Crewe have just managed to pinch enough games to stay above the relegation zone.We will need to go for victories not draws from hereonin.Draws are no good because at best we will just be matching up with the teams down at the bottom with us.I'm happy to see that we appear far more solid and Calamity Carson only had to pick the ball out of the net once on Tuesday and had few shots to save.I'm looking for 6 of the best starting with Yoddeling Yeovil this saturday.

Good analysis...we will be OK. Thankfully, Kev came in early to make these changes.
Once confidence is back,we could easily go on a "unbeaten run".
I expect more changes from KEV,,,

Unfortunately that draw against Carlisle United now looks like 2 points lost big time as they were easily beaten today by Colchester United .One has to keep their fairth but it's looking like mission impossible from where i am standing. The problem is that good to average teams are beating us and and very average teams are pinching a point against us.
