BURY are said to be tracking Bristol Rovers striker Richard Walker.
The 30-year-old has been told he can leave the Memorial Stadium after struggling to break into the first team last season.
He had been top scorer for Rovers for the previous two campaigns, and with Alan Knill admitting earlier this week that he was in the market for a new forward, the former Aston Villa trainee could fit the bill.

"I've been speaking to one player this week who is a proven goalscorer," the Shakers boss said.
"He is still a good age and he wants to be much better which is exactly what I want from anyone who comes in this summer."
Doubts surround the future of Glynn Hurst, however, after it emerged he was offered lower terms from the club to stay on for another season.
"We have offered him a deal but probably not one that he would have wanted," Knill said.
"I like the way his plays. He has got a great work ethic and he is good in the dressing room but at his age we thought the deal we put forward was fair."
