MANCHESTER City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson is under pressure for his job because owner Thaksin Shinawatra has publicly stated he isn't happy with results.

Yet City are guaranteed to hit the pre-season target set by the two men of a top-10 finish in the Premier League, their crowds are up by nine per cent and they have achieved the precious double over derby rivals Manchester United for the first time in 38 years.

They've also had 9,000 and 7,000 children at two of their games which is the highest number in the club's history, and they have won the FA Youth Cup for the first time in 22 years.

City are suffering from the same problem which has plunged Liverpool into crisis, caused so much trouble at Manchester United a few years back and will do the same at many more clubs in the future.

They are owned by foreigners.

I wish BWFC were in as much "trouble" as City, United and Liverpool.

Seems a strange conclusion to make that clubs in crisis are owned by foreigners.
There are many clubs in crisis in England, the vast majority being English owned.
The logical conclusion would be that the most successful clubs in England are owned by foreigners.
City are most certainly not a club in crisis whether Sven stays or goes.
