BOLTON boxing coach Jack Khan has again been on his travels to eastern Europe.
The trainer from the Olympic Boxing Club, on Caroline Street, has returned from Croatia where he spent five days helping coach young boxers at the national team's base camp.
It follows a similar trip to Hungary in November for the man who has been coaching youngsters in Bolton for 12 years.
Again, Jack was accompanied by boxing adviser Mohammed Zairoun – who funded the trip – and got a lot out of the experience.
He said: "It was a fantastic trip again.
"I got to work with a lot of young boxers and a 22-year-old up-and-coming super heavyweight they call Filip Croatia.
"He was brilliant to work with.
"He is well-known over there and tipped to do well at next year's Olympics in Rio.
"I was invited by the Croatian Boxing team and saw some awesome talent in the five days I spent there.
"It was also good for me as I picked up some new training techniques from their coaches."
