AS part of LTA’s The Great British Tennis Weekend initiative, Lostock Club are offering the chance for anyone to try the game on May 16-17.

Lostock Tennis Club, situated on Regent Road, are holding an open morning on May 17 between 10am and 1pm and all age groups are invited to come along to pick up a racket for free.

There will be coaches on hand to get tennis tots (age 3-5) going with their ball skills, to assist mini-tennis players trying their small court game and juniors and adults, who may wish to have a go at the full Wimbledon experience!

For folk who like to get serious about their fitness, a cardio-tennis group will be running throughout the morning and those who already play a bit of tennis will have the opportunity to try to “beat the ball machine!”

The event complements the Lostock Club’s existing tennis programme with coaching available in groups or individually for ages three upwards.

There is also a weekly coaching session for adults wishing to return to the game, or even just wanting to try their hand at tennis.

The club runs multiple junior and senior teams in the Bolton Sports Federation tennis leagues and enters teams in the mens and ladies AEGON regional competitions.
