TYLDESLEY men's water-polo team paid the price for having a small squad and crashed to their second defeat of the season losing 13-7 to Lancaster.

In the first quarter, Addison Brown was on target for the Pelican side but Lancaster led 2-1.

At half time, Lancaster had taken control of the game scoring three goals to one with Adam Toone scoring for Tyldesley.

The hosts extended their lead to 5-2 in the third quarter.

Tyldesley continued to attack Lancaster but were unable to close the gap.

The quarter ended with both teams scoring three goals apiece thanks to efforts by Lucas McNulty, Jonathan Stafford, Addison Brown.

Entering the last quarter Lancaster were leading eight goals to five.

Lancaster pulled further away as Tyldesley tired due to lack of substitutes to increase their lead out-scoring Tyldesley 5-2.

Among the goalscorers were Addison Brown (three), Lucas McNulty (two), Adam Toone and Jonathan Stafford.
