THE Bolton Golf Association League gets back to business this week after players enjoyed a week off to battle it out for the BGA Championship at Turton.

Great Lever, leader of League A, will visit Dunscar tonight.

The Egerton club has had an up and down season thus far but home advantage may well see them scupper the leaders who have only lost one match to date.

League B leaders – Old Links – have a free week but they are unlikely to be caught during their break.

Meanwhile, second place Hart Common will visit Turton who have made a remarkable come back from their early set-back from three defeats.

Turton, who are only five points behind the Common will undoubtedly be favourites on home soil.

Breightmet host local rivals Harwood this week and will be seeking to avenge their narrow 4½-3½ defeat when they last met in their return match away at Harwood.

Despite Harwood’s recent two consecutive defeats they will be keen to knock-over their nearest rivals.

Regent Park have had an unpleasant season thus far with six consecutive defeats and tonight will be at home to Deane who are looking to use this fixture to raise their league position.

Other league A matches this week include Bolton vs Hindley Hall with both remaining in the lower reaches of the table.

Bolton, will have home advantage and should see an improvement in their league standing against lowly Hindley. However, Bolton will be aware of Hindley’s excellent recent performance against hosts Chorley when they claimed a 4–4 draw.

The Hall ‘o ‘th Hill side will host Westhoughton tonight who remain bottom of the table.

Chorley will be determined to recover their early place in the table which will be vital if they have any notions of reaching the finals in September.
