BOLTON darts ace Joe Murnan went out of the BetVictor World Matchplay on Saturday when he was beaten by world number four Adrian Lewis 10-7.
The Halliwell thrower, who won the PDC Players Championship in May to qualify for his debut World Matchplay, led the two-time world champion 2-1 before going 7-2 behind.
Murnan showed his class and character at Blackpool's Winter Gardens to hit back on his televised debut, closing the gap to one leg before Lewis took three of the next four to claim victory.
