TYLDESLEY suffered agony in the Bolton and District Under-12s water-polo final losing 11-5 to Bridgefield at Salford.

In the first half, Bridgefield took an early two-goal lead until Harry Dunkerley scored to make it 2-1.

Bridgefield scored three more goals and Holly Toone was on target for Tyldesley and by half-time, Tyldesley were trailing 5-2.

The second half was no different as Bridgefield continued to dominate scoring six goals with only Holly Toone, Kelsey Evans and Harry Dunkerley scoring for Tyldesley to make it 11-5.

A spokesman for the club said: "The side have shown fantastic improvement in defence and ball protection over the season."

The player of the final trophy won by Kelsey Evans.

Elsewhere, Imogen Bailey, Jodie Gittins and William Hornby have been selected to represent Central Lancashire Swimming Association

in the Inter-Association Competition on November 22 at Wigan.

Meanwhile, Tyldesley’s Junior Jubilee swimming team finished third in the A final of the Central Lancs competition

The Junior Swim League Team finished runners up in the Central Lancs Junior Swim League.

The Senior Swim League team finished second in the Central Lancs Senior Swim League.

Tyldesley men's water-polo team finished the Bolton and District League with an easy 17-7 win away at Salford.

In a competitive first quarter the game was heading for a draw 4-4 but goals by Adam Toone and Addison Brown ensured Tyldesley had the advantage.

The other scorers in the quarter were John Fletcher , Neil Williams,

Toone and Brown.

In the second quarter the game was still tight with Tyldesley winning the quarter by 3-2 to lead at half time 9-6 thanks to efforts by Lucas McNulty Rob Bond and Addison Brown.

Tyldesley dominated the third quarter scoring six goals to Salford’s one with Neil Williams hitting a hat-trick and Brown, Fletcher and McNulty adding to their tallies.

Tyldesley entered the last quarter leading 15-7 with the game won Tyldesley relaxed scoring two goals with no response from Salford.
