TOP junior cyclists from Bolton Hot Wheels Club battled through tough conditions at Cartmel but still produced top results.
There were 19 riders and eight parents in action at the North West Cyclo-Cross Association event recently.
Among the highlights included Melissa Boylin was crowned the first girl in the Under-14s age-group category.
She was joined on the podium in the same race by club-mate Jocasta Minton who was the runner-up.
Also celebrating was Isaac Peatfield took the honours as first u16s boy.
Just missing out on the medals and top three spots were: Daniel Porter (fourth in u12s), Kian Houghton (fourth in u8s) and Esme Glossop (fourth in u8s girls).
Meanwhile, their trio of first season dads – Marcus Simmons, Chris Clegg and Dave Slater were battling it out coming over the line one after the other.
