YOUNG Bolton boxer Osman Aslam is set to return to the ring on Saturday as he looks to make more progress in 2016.

The 22-year-old super bantamweight joined the professional ranks just over a year ago and extended his unbeaten record to three fights with a points victory over Yorkshireman Craig Derbyshire in February.

Now he is set for a return to home soil at the Whites Hotel at the Macron Stadium this weekend.

No opponent has been confirmed but the Halliwell youngster, who is managed by Asif Vali – who also looks after heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury – and trained by respected Bolton coach Alex Matvienko from Elite Boxing gym, is tipped to extend his winning run.

Tickets are priced £40 for the bill with ringside seats £75 and the show begins at 5.30pm.

Another Elite fighter, Paul Drago puts his unbeaten record on the line on Friday night against fellow undefeated Lewis Cuddy from Liverpool in a cruiserweight challenge belt fight.

The Great Lever fighter will be joined on the Wigan bill by his club-mate at Elite Gym in Halliwell, Tom Barlow, who will be having his second pro fight.

Elite's sister amateur club, Halliwell ABC, have a new North West champion after Mickey Ellison won the 81k title in only his 17th fight.
