THE USN Bolton Arena attracted teams from around Greater Manchester for its first gymnastics festival.
The event, sponsored and supported by British Gymnastics and Active Dancewear, was part of a series of festivals across the country. These are part of the British Gymnastics festival programme and “Gymnastics For All”, designed to encourage all ages to take up and enjoy the sport.
As well as the arena’s own gymnastics team, groups from St Helens, Penketh, Merseyside and GR8 from Leigh also attended, as did the National Disability Display team, drawn from around the country.
An afternoon of creative choreography, fantastic costumes and tumbling gymnastics resulted, with the most artistic performance of the day judged to have been given by GR8.
All groups were praised for their performance and given medals, certificates and goody bags.
