THE BSF Over-35s Football League goal spree continued on Sunday with 91 goals in 14 games, including 42 in Division One.

Salford Victoria scored seven at North Walkden, but conceded three giving the highest total of the day, however, two other games ended with nine.

Following their 10-5 defeat last week Queen Lizzy were again in a high-scoring game, but lost by the odd goal in nine at Bar Hill JFC, however, it was virtually one-way traffic at Digmoor as Hindsford Vets romped to an 8-1 victory.

Mark Morris, John Monks and Ste Williams scored for North Walkden, but they were out-gunned by Salford Victoria for whom John Smith and Anthony Weall scored one apiece, Mark Baily struck twice and Anthony Houghton scored a hat-trick.

Hindsford Vets top Division One following their 8-1 demolition job at Digmoor.

Dave Fashou netted a hat-trick, Darryl Martinez scored two and A Hodkiss, Mark Little and Phil Lees added one each. Gareth Birchall scored the consolation goal for home side.

A Clint McLaughlin hat-trick and a Gaz Turnock goal for Queen Lizzy was not enough for a point at Bar Hill because a Barry Massey hat-trick and a Brian Love double earned their opponents the points.

Mitchell Unicorn and Salford Victoria are joint second and unbeaten, but have only played two games.

Mitchells won 4-2 at Bamford Arms for whom Sykes and Smith scored, but John Palmer (two), Daz Shields and an own goal gave the visitors victory.

Turton Bay Mare and Mersey Valley A shared the points as Andy Clarke’s double for Turton was negated by Matt Marthagh and Dave Fahay for Mersey Valley.

In Division Two, Golborne Parkside bounced back from last week’s defeat with a convincing 8-2 home win against Ainsworth A.

Ian Riley (three), Wayne Hampson (two) and one each from Warren Collier, Noel Coleman and Stephen Hughes proved too good for Ainsworth for whom Monro and Hardy hit the target.

After three unbeaten games, Radcliffe Old Boys A are top of Division Two and have averaged six goals a game.

A Paul Murray hat-trick, plus goals from Mark Collins and Lee Goldridge on Sunday kept them on top despite Chris Sutcliffe and Andy Buckley scoring for Heaton Vets.

Michael Coates (three) and Daniel Abucewicz (two) gave Mersey Valley B victory over Radcliffe Vets for whom Lee Webb and Tom Dawson scored.

The goals kept coming with five at Bolton Lads and Girls Club and four at Deans.

Allen Mitch and Vejay Mistry scored for BLGC, but visitors Astley Bridge edged them out with a Mark Sloan brace and a Greg Richardson strike to maintain their unbeaten record.

Deans Youth and Ladies have yet to find their form and they lost 4-0 at home to Old Boltonians who earned their first points of the season thanks to goals from Fielding, Seddon, Fletcher and Berry.

The Ainsworth B and PF Bury match produced the highest score in Division Three as Gareth Hawkshaw (three) and Micky Jeffers (two) gave Ainsworth a 5-1 victory.

Meanwhile, a one-sided scoreline saw Heaton Casuals win 5-0 at Homeguard Failsworth with Mark Blackshaw, Anthony McCormack, Alan Westhead, Ste Pendal and Dave Milqeeny on the scoresheet.

There were identical results in the other two games, Elton Liberals going down 3-1 at home to Atherton Town and Radcliffe Old Boys B losing by the same score to AFC Dobbies.

Joey Jarret scored for Elton, Martin Jordan (two) and Ste Anderton for Atherton Town, Mark Woodford for Radcliffe and Anthony Healey, Dave Malius and Robert Howarth for Dobbies.
