JACK Flatley dreams of winning titles but is satisfied at the moment with just winning bouts as he approaches his first anniversary as a professional.

The Farnworth fighter has won five out of five matches since arriving in the paid ranks last October.

He has his sixth fight later this month, his second in succession at the Macron Stadium, and he hopes this one will be like the last.

"I was most happy with my last fight because it was my only stoppage so far," said the 21-year-old middleweight who trains out of Halliwell's Elite gym where he is trained by Alex Matvienko.

"It was good fighting in front of people who know me. I sold about 120 tickets for that fight and I had a lot of support.

"I hope it's going to be like that again."

The five-month break between his last outing and his next one contrasts sharply with the quick succession of his first five bouts which were bundled together in just seven months.

He has been back in full training for the last six weeks and while he does not yet know who his opponent will be he hopes it will be someone who will enable him to stay on his learning curve.

"The end goal is to fight for big titles, but I am taking each fighter as they come because there is a lot to learn," he said.

"I'm happy with how the first year has gone. I've had some good learning fights against fighters with different styles.

"I've learned about how to fight people who come forward and fighters who box on the back foot.

"You've got to adapt to different styles and that's what I'm learning to do.

"I had my first fight on October 10 last year and this one will be on October 22 and that's the day before my birthday so I'm hoping for a good weekend."
