HIGH-FLYING Top Club were toppled by bottom side D Havilland in the biggest upset of the day in Division One of the Bolton at Home Sunday League.

D Havilland ran out 5-2 winners which moved them three places off the bottom, John Harvey grabbing a brace and Glenn Matthews, Devon Hill and Kieron Torkington completing the scoring for D Havilland. Travis Vaughn replied with two goals for Top Club.

Astley Bridge Elite are this week's leading club, sitting at the top of the table following a resounding 6-3 victory against Southfields FC.

Darren Smethurst registered a hat-trick with Chris Donahue (two) and Leighton Migas on target for the leaders.

Also in Division One, Farnworth United showed some of last season’s good form when they convincingly overcame Bradford Arms A 4-0, and Hulton Wanderers brushed aside Bridge Celtic 4-0 with goals from James Stubbs (two) and Scott Molyneaux (two).

FC Westhoughton became the new leaders in Division Two courtesy of a thumping 13-0 victory over Railway FC.

There are three teams at the top with 21 points but Westhoughton’s superior goal difference – aided by Sunday’s result – puts them out in front.

Cassim, Pennington and Howarth all registered hat-tricks, with Pursehouse, Dorken, Arkwright and Hughes also on the scoresheet.

Deane FC continued their great season to date with a 4-1 win at Atherton Villa.

They also have 21 points but slipped to second. Carl Dumbarton, John Miller, Yaz Smajic and Nathan Heaton all got on the scoresheet for Deane.

Manny Road remain in third – also on 21 points – following a narrow win against Bradford Arms B.

The scoreline had been locked at 1-1 with Cameron Forrest scoring earlier for Manny Road and Michael Partington replying for Bradford B.

However Tom Helsby grabbed a dramatic last-minute winner ensuring Manny Road remain level with the leaders.

For the second consecutive week Church Reds were unlucky to lose by the odd goal against Lostock FC who ran out 3-2 winners.

Owen Wood grabbed a brace and Lee Jones got the winning goals for Lostock.

Deane Wanderers and Newbury shared the spoils in a hard-fought 2-2 draw, Mark Laithwaite and James Entwistle getting Deane’s goals and Craig Sloane netting both for Newbury.
