IN-FORM Great Lever Taskers hit champions Farnworth for six in the big game of the day in Division One of the Bolton at Home Sunday League.

Arron McCarthy was the star of the show for the visitors, netting five of their goals in a 6-2 triumph – Gareth Colquit netting the other, while Arron Monks and Ash Kirkman scored for Farnworth.

Great Lever raced out of the blocks with some great football and Farnworth just could not live with them.

The opening goal came from McCarthy after good work down the flank from Ash Patel who cut the ball back before McCarthy finished with a curling shot into the bottom corner, leaving the Farnworth keeper with no chance.

Taskers played some attractive football and scored again when a lovely-timed through ball from Chris Cankalis ended with McCarthy beating the keeper one-on-one to make it 2 -0.

It was soon 3-0 when McCarthy completed his first-half hat-trick and Colquit added a fourth with a great finish.

Farnworth did hit one back before the break through Monks but Taskers outclassed the champions in the first half.

Taskers came out after the break and scored straight away with McCarthy's fourth of the game after good work from Patel with his second assist.

McCarthy wrapped up the points with his fifth of the game and 23rd goal of the season when he ran through on goal and chipped the keeper.

Cankalis put in a man-of-the-match performance, dominating midfield and providing three assists.

Farnworth got a late goal through Kirkman's free kick but they were well beaten by a Taskers team continuing their fine form.
