BURNDEN runners picked up two age-category wins at the East Lancashire Hospice 10k.
Keith Thomas took the M55 prize in a time of 40mins 53secs – a full three minutes ahead of his nearest rival.
Lesley Fisher was first L55 in 46:03 – just under 14 minutes ahead of the second-placed runner in the same age group.
Meanwhile, Don Nichol and Dave Pearson completed the Burnden interest in the race, with Nichol crossing the line in 49:09 and Pearson in 1:01:40.
Seven members donned their headtorches for the Rivington Night Runner 10k – a spectacular event with hundreds of beams lighting up the Rivington trails.
Paul and Brenda Sedgwick took first place in the M70 and L70 categories with times of 1:48:40 and 1:49:42 respectively.
Mark Kenny was the first Burndener to finish, posting a time of 1:24:22, followed by Alec Cottrill (1:25:15) and Sally Cottrill (1:25:15).
Colin Rigby completed the course in 1:34:36, alongside Diane Morrison with the same time.
John Chester travelled to Cheshire for the Helsby Four Villages Half Marathon and put in a great run to finish inside two hours with a time of 1:56:54.
