EIGHT green vests from Lostock AC completed Sunday's Greater Manchester Marathon with outstanding performances from Colin Gregory and Mark Liptrot.
Gregory, who later this summer will be representing GB at the European Triathlon Union middle distance championships in Denmark, stormed home in a sub three-hour time of 2hrs 59mins 5secs to finish 349th overall.
Liptrot, usually known for his fell running, finished seventh in his age category and 559th overall with a time of 3:06:37.
The other athletes competing were Adam Lowe (3:23:41), James Jackson (3:33:32), Kate Finn (4:24:04), Cathy Stratton (4:26:47), Karen Taylor (4:36:15) and Alan Mather (5:04:58).
At the Darwen Heritage Half Marathon, Claire Shrewbridge bettered her time from 2016 to finish in 1:57:28.
