THERE was a good turnout of eight Lostock runners on Wednesday at the second Curley's Trail race.
This is a 5k short, fast, undulating course with James Jackson the first Lostocker home and 21st overall in a time of 22mins 01secs.
First Lostock lady was Nikki Hamerton in a time of 26:31, while other club finishers were Stuart Hatton (23:05), Chris Taylor (24:18), Claire Shewbridge (27:38), Jocelyn Chadderton (30:04), Karen Taylor (31:13) and Kerry Varden (31:35).
Saturday saw the fourth staging of the Lakes Mountain 42 – a 42-mile course which visits the peaks of High Street, Helvellyn and Place Fell with approximately 10,000 feet of ascent.
Three very good friends and Lostockers – Josie Greenhalgh, Mike Ernill and Albert Sunter – ran the whole course as a group to finish together in just over 10 hours.
Sunday was the Decathlon Duathlon Run-Bike-Run event where James Jackson was first Lostocker home with Jack Bibby second on his Lostock debut.
First Lostock lady was Gwen Franklin.
