THE three-race Curley's 5k series finished with age-group wins for Lostock's James Jackson and Nikki Hamerton.
Fresh from his impressive showings in the Greater Manchester Marathon and Decathlon Duathlon, Jackson finished sixth overall and first place in the M35-39 category, while equally determined running from Hamerton saw her finish 33rd overall and winner of the F55-59 category.
Further age-group success for Lostock AC came for Stuart Hatton, who was placed 14th overall and fourth in the M40-44 category, and Jocelyn Chadderton ended the series 47th overall and third in the F45-49 age group.
Also competing in the final race of the series were Mark Shuttleworth (23mins 23secs), Mark Checkley (25:31), Claire Shewbridge (28:11) and Dawn Magill (38:11).
A team of 11 Lostockers entered the traditional Easter Saturday Pike Race with many of those who had performed well in the Curley's series again running strongly in this event.
Jackson was the first Lostocker home in a time of 23:17 while experienced runners Paul O'Brien (24:33), Shuttleworth (25:11), Chris Taylor (26:11), Hatton (26:42), Checkley (27:11), Jon Tomlinson (30:12), Alan Mather (32:28) and Chadderton (34:08) all turned in strong runs.
Competing in their first Pike Race Jack Bibby, following on from his impressive showing in the Decathlon Duathlon, finished in a time of 25:39, while Heather Soden was fourth in her age group in a time of 29:13.
