TWO Bolton School girls won seven medals between them at the North West Regional Summer Swimming Championships.
Lucy Dixon and Elly Fraser brought a total of three silvers and four bronzes back from the Manchester Aquatics Centre where they competed against the best in the North West.
On the back of their performances at the championships Year 7 pupil Lucy was selected for the England Talent Regional Development Programme – which runs three one-day swim camps between July and December and is for the 18 top-ranked swimmers in the North West – and Year 8 Elly achieved British National qualifying times in her medal-winning events.
Lucy reached the final in all nine events she swam in the girls' 11-12 years category.
She won silver medals in the 400m freestyle and 800m freestyle, and bronze in the 200m freestyle and 200m breaststroke.
Elly won silver in the 100m breaststroke and bronze in the 200m breaststroke and 50m breaststroke in the girls' 13-14 years category.
