BURNDEN’S Lee White put in a fine run to finish 13th overall and fourth V40 at the latest in the Pilling 10K series.
The third event in the five-race series around the village of Pilling, near Fleetwood on the Fylde coast, saw White cross the line in 39mins 9secs, less than half a minute ahead of Paul Duke who finished in 39:30.
Kirsty White was second F45 in 42:10.
There were several successes by club members in the final days of the Scorcher 7-Day running festival at Salwick, near Preston.
Neil Critchley won the half marathon on day four in 1:52:53, Julie Newton won the ladies' half marathon in a time of 2:08:21 on day six and Lesley Fisher won the ladies' 5-mile race and was third overall in 37:04 on the final day.
Anne Ferguson and Mark Butler tackled the third of the four-race Harrock Hill series at Parbold.
The testing race over 8.4K with 275 metres of climbing saw Ferguson finish second F55 in 47:32 and Butler cross the line in 52:37.
George Butler travelled to the North East for the Redcar sprint triathlon.
He completed the swim in 11:04 and took 33:03 on the bike course, before a run of 27:07 saw him finish with a total of 1:12:48.
