JONATHAN Cosgrove and Jack Bibby continue to sustain the strong form demonstrated at the start of the season for Lostock AC.

Cosgrove headed to Teesside on Sunday for the 31st Roy Harrison Memorial 10k, the concluding event of the Run Billingham series, where he finished 20th out of a strong field of 196 north east runners and eighth in his age group in a time of 40mins 16secs.

Closer to home Bibby finished 67th overall and 26th in his age group out of the 548 runners who completed the Fleetwood half marathon, in a time of 1:36:23.

The previous Wednesday saw the fourth and final race of the Jubilee series held locally around Rivington.

Adam Lowe, Claire Shewbridge and Mark Checkley turned out for Lostock, with Lowe finishing fifth in his age group and 31st overall in a time of 36:14.

Shewbridge was third in her age group and 47th overall in a time of 39:25, while Checkley was 48th overall and fifth in his age group in a time of 40:01.

In the final series standings, Lowe was the highest placed Lostocker in joint 11th, with James Jackson 13th, Stuart Hatton 18th and Rob Garstang 24th.

In the final women's standings, Shewbridge was 14th overall and third in her age group.
