LEADERS Glodwick maintained their fine form in the Bolton Table Tennis League Premier Division with an impressive 24-4 victory over Flixton Cricket Club B.
The win came thanks to nines from Amirul Hussain and Kyan Chin.
Second-placed Ramsbottom Town A also took Burning Desire to task with a maximum 27-6 win, while Ramsbottom Town B had an equally good 26-9 victory against Hilton A with nines from Brian Clements and Ryan Choong.
Third-placed Flixton Cricket Club A maintained their form with a 23-11 win against Nomads, with a nine from Stephen Scowcroft.
There were a couple of closer matches as Little Lever A just pipped Ladybridge A 20-18, helped by a nine from Graham Jeffries and Radcliffe Cricket Club just got the better of third-bottom Wharton 19-15 thanks to nines from Robert Hall and Brian Hallsworth.
In Division One, Coburg moved up to second after a maximum 27-2 win against bottom-placed Hilton E.
Farnworth SC A continue to make slow progress up the table now that John Hutchinson is playing regularly and his nine, plus one from Gillian Marsden, gave them a 26-11 win against Hilton C.
However, leaders Hilton B were more fortunate with a 23-15 win against Little Lever Cricket Club B and Hilton D just scraped a 17-16 triumph against Wingates.
In Division Two, Top Spinners, who are already one match behind due to home team Polonia Club’s venue being used for a wake, just beat bottom team Farnworth SC B 18-15, helped by a nine from Gary Hilton.
Meanwhile, Farnworth SC C beat Heaton Cricket Club B 17-15, assisted by a nine from Ben Wyatt.
New leaders St Paul’s Peel had a 20-14 success against Brass Zone with the usual nine from Lee Devenport, while Bolton TTC B outplayed Meadow Ben C with nines from Peter McCormick and Peter Douglas.
Walkden Methodists met second-bottom Meadow Hill B, producing a 27-1 whitewash, while second placed Hilton H Juniors continued their good form with a 23-12 win against Irlam Steel SC with nines from Jei Makino and Nathan Donaldson.
Farnworth SC D outplayed Hilton G 20-13 with nines coming from Peter Walker and David Wyatt.
Meadow Ben D beat Hilton F 18-15, helped by a nine from Philip Calvert, while Meadow Hill A had a comfortable 23-7 win against bottom side Albany.
Polonia Club B's bad luck continued when they went down 19-12 to Ladybridge C, assisted by a nine from Brian Greenhalgh.
