BOLTON darter Lisa Ashton remains on course to defend her Ladies’ BDO World Darts title after progressing to the semi-finals.
Ashton beat Fallon Sherrock 2-0 in sets tonight to book a last-four date with Deta Hedman tomorrow.
And, while not at her best against Sherrock, the 47-year-old from Johnson Fold is confident she can make it to another final in the hunt for a fourth world title in five years.
She told BT Sport: “I don’t think either me or Fallon were at our best but I’m happy with the win.
“I know I will have to raise my game against Deta but am looking forward to that match.”
Ashton won 3-1 and 3-2 in straight sets against 24-year-old Sherrock, coming from 2-0 down in the second to clinch her semi-final spot.
Her highest checkout was 116.
