Bolton Olympic Wrestling Club produced a huge medal haul at the biggest national junior tournament of the year.
The Wigan Road club won eight gold and four silver medals at the British Junior Wrestling Championships in Cardiff at the end of last year.
All 12 of the athletes who travelled from the Bolton club earned a podium place at the British Wrestling Association’s most prestigious event of the year.
The gold medallists were: Harry Meadows, Liam Husband, Tommy Costello, Alfie Gallagher, Megan Kipling, Cameron Leader, Jack Costello and Lucy McGrath, and the silver medal winners were Ruby Leader, Arin Sekirden, Charlie Meadows and Nathan Livesey.
It was the crowning achievement of a successful year for club who led up to the competition with
success at the Aspull International tournament and the Helsinki Open in Finland.
