The Big Picture, the great weekly feature in The Bolton News every Tuesday which showcases a grassroots sport photograph from our archives, this week shows the Bowmen of Overdale, Bolton's archery club, engaged in a practice shoot at the Drill Hall, Silverwell Street, Bolton, in November 1953. The writing on the back of the picture says: "The clubhouse and field are at Lostock, but indoor shooting takes place in winter." Are you on the picture? Do you know anyone on it? Were you or anyone you know a member of the club around this time? Can you shed any light on the club's activities back then or any individual or club successes it had? If you can recall any more information about the picture or if it brings back any memories email neil.bonnar@nqnw.co.uk
