THIS week we are harking back to the 1950s and two pictures brought into The Bolton News office by reader George Smedley.
The first photograph is of George and his team-mates in the YMCA boys' side of 1955.
The line-up is, back, from left, Kenny Gaskell, Charlie Cooper, Cyril Wallwork, Geoff Lane, Graham Bailey, George Bell; front, Jimmy Nichol, Albert Ramsden, Dave Kaufman, George, Brian Swift, Michael Howe and Charles Cooper, who went on to play for Wanderers.
Also in the squad, but not pictured, was another future Wanderer, Ray Forrest.
