NIKKI Hamerton and James Jackson are overall age-group winners of the Curley's 5k series.

Hamerton completed a clean sweep in her age group, while Jackson finished fourth overall in the third and final race to win his age group and finish fourth overall in the series.

Paul O'Brien finished 13th overall and fifth in his age group over the three races, with Stuart Hatton 19th overall and fourth in his age group.

Jocelyn Chadderton showed sustained improvement over the three races, finishing with a personal best time of 29mins 22secs, with Ian Burns and Alan Mather turning in times of 29:33 and 30:4,1 respectively.

The Radcliffe 10k saw an impressive debut in Lostock colours for Rachel Hancock, who finished fourth in her age group in 50:59, with Mark Checkley clocking 56:52 to finish 16th in his age group.

The weekend also saw the triathlon season get into full swing with Lostockers competing in the Ribby Hall, Clitheroe and Skipton triathlons.

Jonathan Cosgrove had a combined time of 1:02:01 at Ribby Hall to finish 35th overall, including the ninth fastest 5k time of 20:21.

Mary White was second in her age group over the 400m/30k/8k race at Clitheroe with a time of 2:10:09, while Mather clocked 1:38:43 over the undulating Craven area of the Yorkshire Dales at Skipton.
