THIS week's delve into The Bolton News photographic archives has discovered this picture from June 1988 of the Bolton League inter-league team.
The information accompanying the picture said the side beat the Northern League at Leyland.

THE second picture was published in last week's sporting nostalgia section and is of the Tonge CC side that won the indoor cricket tournament in 1988.
Reader John Eccleshare got in touch and said: "A few names for you re the Tonge picture (indoor champions 1988).
"Front, from left, Nigel Partington and Mike Bennison; back, Keith Hornsby, unknown, Nick Dimarcello and Lenny Kerr."
