RUGBY UNION: Bolton return to action in the first round of the Lancashire Plate when they face local North Lancs One rivals Bury at Avenue Street.
The local men will field a largely unchanged side under returning first team skipper Sam Hilton despite some coaching changes in the close season in a match which kicks off at 2.30pm.
They will be looking to play an enterprising brand of rugby under head coach Alex Youngman and his new assistant Nick Holmes.
Bolton will be aiming to exploit an extra depth of talent in the squad from the maturing Senior Colts team.
Their influence was in evidence when Bolton romped to a fine 34-12 win against Dukinfield in a pre-season friendly.
Meanwhile, the club have announced their new shirt sponsorship deal with Bolton Arena and Fraser Hart Jewellers, J Hardman Developments, Phoenix Physiotherapy and KEPT Sports Training.
